Message From the Mayor...
Hello and welcome to the City of Wilton's web site. My
name is Ron Peck and as Mayor of Wilton, I am proud to
welcome you to browse through our fine city's web site.
Through this site, you will be able to find out about local
businesses, clubs, our school, parks, churches and our
recreation opportunities.
You will find that our school is an excellent learning
facility with a wide variety of extracurricular
activities. We have five
churches to attend and 40 friendly businesses to serve you.
And, we are located on Highway 83, 21 miles north of
Bismarck. We have a golf course, Painted Woods Golf
Course, with grass greens, located just 10 miles north on
Highway 83.
We are close to two lakes, those being Heckers and New
John's. There people enjoy camping, fishing and an
array of water sports including water skiing, jet skiing,
and boating. We are also located less than 10 miles
from the Missouri River. During the summer, the
children in the community are offered swimming and golf
lessons, softball, baseball, T-ball and American Legion
baseball.
You will find all this and more as you make your journey
through this site. There are things though you will
not be able to see. You will not be able to see the
800 friendly people that live here with an average age less
than 40. You will not see how the residents of Wilton
come together in times of adversity or in times of triumph.
Wilton is a city that is growing. I encourage you to
take your time as you take this journey from our rich past
to our promising future.

$2,000 Building Incentive!
The Wilton Economic Development
Corporation is offering $2,000 to anyone who builds a new home in Wilton
or who moves a home onto a permanent foundation in Wilton. The incentive
is paid to the party named on the building permit once the home is
completed. A $500 incentive is offered to those who build outside of the
city limits but within the one-mile extra-territorial limit of Wilton.

Wilton is now accepting SEALED Bids on
(82-3001-00010-020)
Notice is
hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Wilton City
Commission until 4 p.m. on the 18th day of January 2012.
Bids are for the purchase of (Outlot B in SW4SE4 35-143-80). There is
approximately 1.68 acres.
Zoned Industrial.
Bids may be dropped off at the City Auditor’s office, 121 Dakota Ave. or
mailed to City of Wilton, PO Box 278, Wilton, ND 58579.
Please mark envelope “Sealed
Property Bid” on the front
of the envelope in the bottom left corner.
Wilton City Commission will open all bids at their regular meeting
on January 18, 2012, 7:15 p.m. at 121 Dakota Ave.
The City of Wilton reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of
fifteen (15) days after the date set for opening and to reject any or
all of the bids.
All bidders are invited to be present at the public opening of the bids.
